Sunset in Venice Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is a sunset it shot in Venice. I just loved the contrast between the shadows of the buildings and the bright colorful sky. I increased the contrast to make buildings look darker and saturated the image a little bit. This increased the red tones. The original colors were beautiful as well.

Very good shot! The sky is very colourful, even intense across the shole frame. The silhoette of the building makes a great accent to the sky, and the blackness of the building makes the sky look even more colourful. Great work!

Amazing colour contrast and the church being in silhouette.With the mooring posts in front , it is indeed very symbolic of Venice. Great picture

A very nice photograph. Lots of small details inside like the seagull and the boat, location of the sun hits one of the golden spots so to speak. I would have been perfect if you could avoid the poles of the jetty i guess. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Yvonne, both sunsets are superb! If I have to choose, I'd prefer this one, I like the complexity of the composition. The amazing colors, the giant sun, the dark waters, the nice reflections, the boats, the almost invisible bird; all these are nice elements superbly complementing the silhouette of the main building (it seems to be the Salute church). The frame is a good enhancement. Everything perfect! (ah, yes, there is a crane on the left, come on!). Regards, Daniel
