Photographer’s Note
Here is another snapshot of Genova taken while trying out my new camera.. It was very cold in the italian riviera last week..they got some snow which is very rare. You can see the rests of it on the sourrounding mountains. Genova is a city squashed between mountains and sea. Very nice natural location.
Title: song "Genova per noi" by Paolo Conte, a genovese singer.

Bravo!

Bonsoir Leonie,
le premier plan me plait bien, les couleurs sont bien saturees tellement que le fond me semble terne. Alors ce 350D, bien ?
Jolie prise

Ciao Leonie,
Compliments

Maybe it was cold, but your photo is very warm. The light is just lovely, a typical light that is created with sunhine from one side of sky and dark clouds on the other side, and you have sought out an excellent and very picturesque view to show us the effects of the light. Well done and thanks! Best regards, Chris.

Hello Leonie,
Bien vu, a+

Welcome back Leonie!
This is a lovely shot with great colours. I like the warm tones on the buildings, against the cool blue/grey of the sky. One tiny quibble - the buildings do not look fully vertical, maybe camera was tilted a little? (I do this all the time, Photoshop fixes it for me).
Best of luck with the 350D. I plan to buy a digital SLR this year, so I am interested in what you think of the 350D.
Happy New Year!

Hi Leonie, You have very well captured the snow peak in this picture. Nice to see the colorful buildings in contrast with the distance mountain. I guess this is taken in a later afternoon judging by the long shadow. However, your camera showed the time is 23:49. I guess you did not set the time yet when you try out you new camera.
Your camera works all right except the clock :D.

Bien vu

Hi Leonie,
Very nice colourful buildings, which stand out very well against those beautiful mountains. It's a bit like the houses are falling the left, but I'm not sure though.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful city shot.

Hi Leonie - great catch, having snowy peaks so close to the nmediterranean is a rare sight indeed, and the low light did justice to the cheerful bright coloured façades.

Ciao Leonie, fantastic shot of Genova. there is all of that wonderful city in that image. the colorfull building, the caotic ruban structure, the sun, and as there is in the word of the wonderful Genova per Noi, there are the mountains and not the sea (it talks about the strange love/hate that the people of Genova have with the sea).
Genova per noi was wrote by Paolo Conte that was born (and still lives) in Asti, in eastern Piedmont. the co-authot is Bruno Lauzi, that was born in Genova, but went to live close to Milano when he was a boy.
it was Bruno Lauzi the first to sing that song in the mid 60's, then many other playied that "classical". but the Lauzi version is the most famous.
thanks, ciao

Hi Leonie,
The late afternoon/ early morning sun on the buildings give a nice warmth against the cold and greyish background of the clouds and mountains. Great shot, TFS, G
