Photographer’s Note
Another shot from my trip to Rome there were so many power full images of the once great Roman Empire. These were after all a people who ruled across the ancient world and you can not help but feel the power of the place as it must have once been.

Hi John,
Somehow you have managed to avoid most of the signs of modern times here. I remember it being difficult from my own visit to Rome.
The dark clouds seem to represent Dark Ages creeping in to the robbed and ruined city sometime more than thousand years ago.
Great!

a bit dim but still very good.it seems that even the weather feels sory for the fallen empire.

Also think that the dark sky it's a must here, it adds to the subject. I like the framing, with the big columns on the right side and the little tower standing on the background just on the middle of the picture.Cheers,

The dramatic sky is very impressive in this picture - creates a feeling of a declining power indeed. I have just found the picture a bit too gray, so I posted a workshop to you with a possible correction.
Best regards
Andras
