Photographer’s Note

Something that you cannot avoid to note in the Gardena Valley, are the wooden sculptures.
This art is an old tradition (naturally today it's mostly a big businness with the touristes) and almost in every house you can see some realization.
Often the sculptures are the representations of mythical / magical figures of the traditional beliefes about the life in the forest.
I find this example cute and well describing the point.

Ah ah, Giorgio! Questo dove l'hai trovato?? :-)) Grazie per la pubblicità che stai facendo al wood carving che ne ha proprio bisogno essendo abbastanza in crisi...

Funny and grotesque! good work both on the sculpture and photo. I like the light especially on the eyebrows. Good angle and careful framing.

Bravo Giorgio. In una delle note delle ultime foto, parlavo dei prodotti locali dell'Alto Adige.. eccone un altro: sculture in legno!;-)

come stai, spero che il vento e' cambiato e che ti portera' ad una felice svolta.

Sai, neanch'io passo piu' tanto tempo qui perche' e' veramente impegnativo e mi prendeva troppo tempo, sopratutto adesso che mia ragazza e' in dolce attesa e prima d'aprile devo ancora sbrigare tante cose in casa. Ma perche ti scrivo proprio qui... perche a Bali ero a fare un corso di woodcarving ed ho anche comprato gli arnesi dal mio Maestro. Cosi ognitanto scappo dalla realta', mi chiudo in garage e "scavo legna"...
Stammi bene caro amico, ci vediamo ancora qua in giro!
