[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This summer, walking at almost 2000 meters in the park of the less knoved Dolomites (in the regional park of "Friulane" Dolomites) i have meeted this nice family of ibexes.
The name of the exact place is "Passo del Mus" (literally "donkey's pass") and we are arrived here coming with the car from Belluno across Longarone to Cimolais (Pordenone), where you must pay a modest fee (5 Euros pro car) for the access at the park, and after 15 final km to the "Rifugio Pordenone" ("Shelter Pordenone") where is possible to eat and sleep conveniently.... not my case, is was here with my little camper!
From the shelter to the pass are necessary perhaps 3 1/2 hours by feet: the path isn't dangerous, but very steep, and the final panorama is worth the effort, surely!
At the pass we have the luck to meet the ibexex: a joung male and 3 families: mother + cubs, these perpetually playing and springing over the rocks.
For me was the first direct encounter with these little, elegant & curious animals.
In fact, if you stay quiet and if you have enouch patience, the animals come even at 20 m. to you, and become possible to take a decent shot even with a little point&shot camera as my Canon!

ciao, Fabio.

Hi Giorgio,
They are peaceful and curious posing to you! Nice Ibexes that you took in a near close-up capture. Good enquadrement, soft color tones, light and a fine nature moment.

Good work, well seen and composed.
Best Regards.
Fernando

Bravo!

Ciao Giorgio,
Superb encounter, they really do not seem afraid, actually I find their attitude is rather curiosity, especially for the young. A beautiful double portait where you might want to play with curves to add contrast and reduce the hard light on the foreground rocks.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Bellissima foto ravvicinata!

Hi Giorgio.
Although not perfecrtly sharp, those facial expressions are priceless.
Great compostion, full of details and beautifull colors.

Hi Giorgio,
I like animals and certainly this very intelligent goat, the combination between the white stones and the few grass, together with the two goats give a excellent composition.
Thanks a lot for visit.
John.

Hi Giorgio,
A well composed shot of the ibexes. You certainly captured them at the decisive moment and careful framing and cropping have really enhanced the impact. I might have played a bit with the slight overexposure on the foreground rocks. The curious nature of the animals is well portrayed in this fine shot. Well done.
John

Hej Giorgio,
Very nice picture of mom and sun. They were posing very nicely for you. I like the light, altough it looks quite harsh. But it's a great capture, very well done!

Lars

Bonjour Giorgio,
Daniel.

Ciao Giorgio,

Hi Giorgio.
You were very lucky to come so close from these pretty looking but so shy animals. They pose for you, it's clear !
Very nice and natural colors served by a very good light. Thanks for sharing !
