Photographer’s Note
In the center of the city of Roccavaldina, the Mother Church is placed side by side from a Renaissance bell tower.
The inside, to three aisles, preserve numerous works of art. At the wall of entry, above the portal, a painted Cross of the XV century. To the beginning of the left aisle it's a table that represents the Madonna with Child, dictates "Madonna dell'Ulivo", attributed to Angelo Di Chirico (1515-25). The first altar of the left aisle introduces a cloth with Christ among Saints, of Giovanni Simone Comandè (1580-1634).
At the left side is the funeral Monument to Maurice Valdina, of Camillo Camilliani (1574-1630), 1603.
Inside the chapel is the statue of "Madonna delle Grazie" of Andrea Calamecca (1524-1589).
Roccavaldina is also known for the "Bottega dello Speziale" that is a 1500 ancient pharmacy inside which the native tools are, preserved for the preparation of the medicines and 256 amphoras, bottle, pitchers and vases that represent mythological and biblical scenes.
