Photographer’s Note
This is the way the Ligurians decorate their housewalls when there are no windows...It is so well done, that it looks incredibly real! This is still an old photo from my time in Genova. I really loved this vibrant city..it has so many pittoresque and beautiful spots.
I uploaded another example in the WS!

Allo leonie
nice shot ... it looked like a real window to me from the thumbnail ... okay .. I will be honest it even looked like a real window even after I clicked the thumbnail ... it was only after I read the note that I realized what it was ....
Lingurians? ... they seemed kind of interesting people, is there any website that you could recommend if I want to know more about them ...
Looking at your photos, it seems that you have had quite an interesting and fulfilling life ... seems like you been to lots of nice places with culture .....
neways ... nice shot ... cheers for now ...
Greetings from the land of open spaces

hi leonie, good to see those lovely details from italy; one of the most loved things by me were the windows and the details of around them (even if they are not real);
very lovely photo, i like those pastel colours;
have a nice evening, jerzy

Nice observation Leonie, though I think it has a few problems. Looks like a neat image treatment of a probably grainy scan, well probably the best thing to do. Though I think correcting the perspective distortion might have been good, and may cropping the ragment of window from teh floor above.

Hi Leonie. That's funny! I would have had no idea if you didn't tell me what the reality was! Obviously the close-in framing is the only way to go here and you pulled it off well. Nice one Leonie, I like it!

Salut Leonie,
Bon week end,

Hmmm..., This picture makes it harder to distinct real and fake, the paintings and photos. It is a nice eye-teasing picture which can raise more questions than answers. A well taken picture with very nice color contrast. I like this picture, especially there are no answers to all questions :D Thank you for sharing.

Hi Leonie - when I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a real window, when I saw the large version I still thought the cat was real! Very nice colours.

Hi Leonie,
This is a beautiful picture, beautiful colours.. i really love these kinds of shots.. its unbelievable that this window and the cat are not real!
Real or not, your composition counts here a lot for me.. i love the way you included the upper part of the photo with some hints of another existing window..
Very good stuff Leonie, well done!
cheers.

Hi Leonie,
Very nice colours here. The cat is a cool detail, but it seems like there is a little bit of noice in it. Apart from that, well done!
