Photographer's Note

Tusculum, city pre-Roman, Roman and medieval Lazio, whose origins can be traced back at least the eighth century BC, was razed in 1191 and since then abandoned.
It was adorned with a crown of gardens and villas, especially in its lower part, turned towards Rome
The first excavations began in the nineteenth century, and various excavations continued until the last, which ended in 2001. The site, located within the perimeter of the Regional Park of Castelli Romani, is currently owned by the Mountain Community Castelli Romani and Prenestini.
