A panoramic view of one of the main squares in Parma, Italy the Piazza Garibaldi. The large building with the clock tower is the Palazzo del Governatore ("Governor's Palace"), which dates from the 13th century. The image is a stitch of some five or six vertical images, apologies in advance for the evident distortion, but I still believe it is worth seeing.
The image is best viewed in the large format that is available on the TE beta site here: http://beta.trekearth.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=1445998
Parma is a city in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna famous for its prosciutto, cheese, architecture and surrounding countryside. It is home to the University of Parma, one of the oldest universities in the world. Parma is divided into two parts by the little stream with the same name.
It has a long history, already being a built-up area in the Bronze Age.
For those who are interested in a full history of the city, here is a link to the article on Wikipedea from which this information was taken.

Wonderful panoramic view of a city with such great buildings. I like the way you have framed with this cobbled path and the railings. The blue sky contrasts the buildings so well. Excellent shot with bright colors, good light and excellent clarity. Thanks for sharing.

a beautifully detailed and creative panorama shot this. An accomplished bit of stitching too! I cannot see any evidence of distortion even at full size so - well done. Looks amazing!

Wonderful architectural details and urban environment!
Very attractive, beautiful and pleasant-looking picture!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, slim horizontal & panoramical format, chosen pov and composition are all excellent and I really enjoyed all of those photo qualities!

Beautiful work, and seamless stitching, this is a really wonderful work of photography. To be able to show so much of the city in one sweeping view like this is a real art, and this is done perfectly. There is no distortion apparent to me, I'm just enjoying the huge range of architecture on display!
Thanks as always, and happy new year

the panorama you created is very rewarding and lovely, definitely worth seeing! I like very much the perspectives in the foreground and along the row of buildings, the distortion created by the stitched pictures has resulted to a delightful dynamic effect. There's remarkable sharpness, the architectural details are wonderful and the colours consistent and attractive. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,

L'étendue de la place donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue panoramique permet de voir les détails et les couleurs des immeubles. La qualité de la lumière embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.

The pale yellow facades of the bg buildings contrast well against the blue sky. Good sharpness and I like the wide angled panoramic view of Parma City. The people add scale and animate the scene. The posts reinforce the perspective. Tfs and a Happy New Year to you and your family.

wow, it is a nice composition with those beautiful architectures and the vacant land in front of it to enjoy the view. Great light and nice depth. Superb work. Tfs.

Nice panoramic view on this place
With Autopano it's possible to make stitches in a linear view to avoid the curves of the architectures
Best regards and best wishes for 2014
macjake (48279) 2014-01-03 17:23
yeah, there's some distortion going on in the right side of the image, but these stitching shots are hard to get 'perfect', so all is forgiven haha
its exactly as you say, its just interesting enough to see it in this form.
a sweet day for some photos, a nice combination of yellows and blues.
excellent exposure levels all the way through.
ikeharel (46914) 2014-01-07 7:54
