This is Palazzo Municipale (Town Hall) in Asiago near Vicenza.
''Asiago is the name of both a minor township (population roughly 6,500) and the surrounding plateau region -is the most extensive area of high plateau on Alps- (the Altopiano di Asiago or Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, Asiago plateau) in the Province of Vicenza in the Veneto region of Northeastern Italy. It is near the border between the Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol regions in the foothills of the Alps, and about equidistant (100 km) from the major cities of Trento to the west and Vicenza to the south.

Although probably best known internationally as the origin of Asiago cheese, Asiago was also the site of a major battle between Austrian and Italian forces on the Alpine Front of World War I. It is a major ski resort destination as well as the site of the Astrophysical Observatory of Asiago, operated by the University of Padua.''

About the picture

''The Town Hall was the seat of Asiago 7 Dear Regency of Commons and the next Consortium, was razed during the Great War. After the war he began the reconstruction. On October 22, 1922 was chosen the project presented by the Venetian architect Vittorio Invernizzi. On July 6, 1924 laid the memorial stone on which was engraved the motto of the reconstruction of Asiago: "Ex igne splendidor". The co-operative stonemasons carved Vicenza on the Bell Tower of St. Mark's lion of white marble, already in a Regency banner donated by the Venetians. On the western façade were made of mosaic coats of arms of the 7 municipalities.
In the Lodge of the Fallen is a statue of the Venetian Annibale De Lotto entitled "Faith in the greatness of Italy." In 1927 she set the clock in the bell tower and bell bronze in C with known weight of 1600 kg. and with a mouth diameter of 139 cm''

sono tornato dopo 5 mesi su TE e vedendo i tuoi ultimi scatti molto belli mi riprometto di visitare con più calma la tua bellissima galleria.
Per adesso mi limito a commentare l'ultima da te postata.
Incredibile l'assenza di distorsioni prospettiche, equilibrio tonale e ombre-luci perfetto, nitidezza da paura!!!
A tutto questo aggiungi l'architettura piacevole di questi edifici di Asiago e il gioco è fatto!
