Me and My Shadow, a photo from Venice, Veneto

Photographer's Note

Sometimes, my shadow appears really short and small,
At other times, it stretches around of me, thin and tall.

Sometimes, my shadow is on my left, sometimes right.
Quite often, I find myself having to hunt for it.

Depending on how the sun or moon shines on me,
My shadow may be hidden, or may be within my sight.

To my shadowy friend, I do feel really very attached.
We are two of a kind, and, I think, very well matched.

Me and my shadow - we are together everyday,
Never from each other, will we ever be severed.

love the colours here in this beautifully observed and composed image. The shadow is perfectly placed and the mixture of textures and elements so harmonious. Like it a lot!

Hello May,
very pleasant picture of a detail in Burano island.
Lovely colors, composition and POV.
I live near Venice and in my archive i have many picture shooted in Burano.
About Burano, your picture is one of the best for detail and composition that i have seen in TE.

hai una bella galleria, molto interessante e variegata, belle le immagini della "mia" Italia.
Questa composizione è molto piacevole, i colori contrastano molto, i fiori fanno da cornice e la lampada sembra illuminare la scritta.
