Photographer's Note

The Castle of Pissignano has been founded in XI the century. In the 1155 Federico Barbarossa it was allocated with its troops in the pressed ones of the castle after the destruction of the city of Spoleto. Pissignano, belonged to the Federal property of the Ducato di Spoleto, will remain under the dominion of the city until the end of XVIII the century. Typical castle of slope to triangular system, the Castle of still intact Pissignano conserve the perimeter of its walls, put in from powerful poligonali towers and two tower-door. The apex tower is much high one and slanciata. Defensive functions must have also the intermediate pentagonal tower, used then like bell tower of the church of Saint Benedict. The church of Saint Benedict, than ago part of an architectonic complex belonged to the community of the Benedictines, conserve paintings of several ages between which signals itself frescoes they representing cinquecenteschi in the apse the Assumption of the Vergine, signed from the siblings Angelucci di Mevale. To same the Angelucci the Madonna with Child dated 1545 could be led back painted on the facade of the Communal Palace that rises to little distance from the church. Feature from la fortezza/

hi silvio,
this is a very dramatic viewpoint creating an intreging perspective. the light illuminating parts of the towers is fantastic, as it highlights the detail in the stone work. the clouds add additional atmosphere.

You have captured a magnificence architecture perfectly. Executed and composed beautifully. It stands out so superbly against the cloudy texture sky and the tones of the surrounding buildings. Excellent!

J'aime beaucoup l'effet très dramatique qu'apporte le ciel gris torturé en arrière plan de cette tour de pierre qui se dresse dans le ciel.

Nesta tua só falta a bruxa má com a vassoura a voar , a foto está com um fantástico dramatismo devido ao céu carregado de nuvens escuras , gostei do ponto de visão junto da torre deu uma boa sensação de altura , parabéns!!

Un cadrage très appréciable de cette tour.
J'aime bien l'aspect des nuages et la lumière latérale bien équilibrée avec les ombres.
