Photographer's Note

A pole next to the coast of Ispra in Lago Maggiore, Italy. It is some time after sunset and not even the slightest ripple of wind moves the water.

Lago Maggiore is a long, fjord-like prealpine lake extending in Northern Italy and Switzerland.

Hello Vangelis,

Sometimes, it is one of those really simple and minimalsit composition of the simplest thing in life that make a really photo as you show here. I like very much the subdue and muted colors, not overly colorful or saturated, just pure and natural, the way nature is. I also like the melancholic mood that give a sense of peace and quiet atmosphere. Good work.

Hello Vangelis, this is a subtle yet effective photographic image. It has, for me, a metaphysical meaning, that solitary pole reflecting in a calm sea. Solitary like man throughout his/her life.
