Photographer's Note
The most striking design feature of Bologna is its arched passageways, which traverse the city and provide 23 miles of elegant community walkways. The beauty of these arches is that they were designed not just to look handsome, but to fill an important social function: the covered archways allow the locals to casually stroll and mix with others without fussing with umbrellas, or sunshades on a rainy day.

Dear May,
I like the details of this B&W shot. You've had toe sacrifice the lower part of the frame, but a pair of photos stitched together vertically would have included more of the scene. The overcast sky has eliminated stark shadows, which I like very much.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello May,
The various arches and shadows make lovely graphic patterns surrounding the ornate door. The b/w treatment and framing are both excellent.
Kind Regards, Ann

Hi May,
A very well seen archi-graphism executed in a beautiful set of greys. You've arranged these three arches in a very elegant way.
Best regards from Rotterdam,

Hi May!
Fantastic close up capture on this architectural details. The conversion to B&W is excellent as it works out pretty well with the scene. Love the curvy lines, they really create a nice graphical effect. Great composition!
my compliments,

Hi May,
A lively little shot with the lines overlapping nicely, and B&W shows this geometry well.
Have a nice weekend
Justin
