Photographer's Note

A day out in the small village of Agosta, outside the tourist routes.
There are several hypotheses on the origin of the name. According to some, the name derives from Augusta water referring to water that comes from the aqueduct that make the Emperor Augustus. According to others the name comes from the Latin aqua Haustiere, namely drinking water. Still others believe that the name is the Latin adjective August gentlemen, that is impressive for its imposing position in the valley.
