Manarola ist ein Ortsteil von Riomaggiore in der Provinz La Spezia (Ligurien, Italien). Es ist ein Ort in den Cinque Terre.

Es kann sein, dass Manarola die älteste der Städte der Cinque Terre ist, da die Grundsteinlegung der Kirche San Lorenzo mit dem Jahre 1160 datiert ist.

Der örtliche Dialekt ist manarolesisch, er unterscheidet sich zu den anderen Dialekten der nahegelegenen Orte.

Traditionell wird in Manarola Wein hergestellt und gefischt. Der lokale Wein wird Sciacchetrà genannt. Alte römische Schriften berichten von diesem Wein.
Manarola (Manaea in the local dialect) is a small town, a frazione of the comune (municipality) of Riomaggiore, in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, northern Italy. It is the second smallest of the famous Cinque Terre towns frequented by tourists.

Hallo Georg,
"Ordo ab Chao" wuerden die alten Roemer dazu sagen.
Oder -fuer mich- die Schoenheit der Chaos.
Hier and diesem Standpunkt wuerde ich stundenlang sitzen und mir jeden feinen Einzelheit der Szene voll geniessen.
Die pastellfarbenen "Gesichter" der Gebaeuden ist einfach Klasse. Und die zwei gestrandeten Boote links in der Mitte ??
