Photographer’s Note
This is a view looking across the village of Riomaggiore toward the mountain that rises to the south of the main part of the village. Riomaggiore is a village and a commune in the province of La Spezia, situated in a small valley in the Liguria region of Italy. It is the first of the Cinque Terre one meets coming from La Spezia.
The village, dating from the early thirteenth century, is known for its historic character and its wine, produced by the town's vineyards. Riomaggiore is in the Riviera di Levante region and has shoreline on the Mediterranean's Gulf of Genoa, with a small beach and a wharf framed by tower houses. Riomaggiore has one or two roads where people socialise, but most of the life at night can be found at the Bar Centrale.
The village is also famous for having numerous aquariums and zoos, all with native Italian animals and sealife in them.
The Via dell'Amore is a path connecting Riomaggiore to its frazione Manarola, also part of the Cinque Terre.
Riomaggiore is the most southern village of the five Cinque Terre, all connected by trail. The water and mountainside have been declared national parks.

Hi Asa,
The point of view from the village toward the mountain is giving depth to the composition. It is also allowing me to see the details and colors of the houses and buildings of the village. The afternoon light is enhancing the different tints of colors of the scenery. Have a nice day.

Hi Asa,
There is a certain fine softness over the terraced hill and the houses are climbing upwards as a natural part of the environment. The flowers in the right corner provide a nice colour contrast.
Kind regards

Hello Asa,
A good perspective over this interesting little village. I like the inclusion of the lovely blossoms in the foreground; they make a nice contrast with the red roofs. Very good colours and clarity.

Hello Asa,
From the thumbnail, I had wondered if this might not be a scene from Cinque Terre. It is a wonderful shot of the layered backdrop, taking the eye up to what appears to be a church at the peak of the hill.
Warm regards from Virginia,

Hi Asa,
Love this crowded village on the steep hillside.
Wonderful colors to the traditional rooftops and nice contrast between the lush green hills and vivid blue sky.
I guess very little real eastate goes unsued in Europe.

Hello Asa,
this looks like a "triangular" composition :) Very good! I like this very picturesque perspective; and it's really nice to see the blue sky as well :)
Whenever I see such views I wonder: what does it feel like to live in such places...?
Very best wishes,
Elena
