Doing my usual stroll before going to sleep in my small berth, I could not resist the magic sight of the full moon - in the quiet and solitary harbour this only presence was mesmerizing...
I hope my shot could give a hint of this charm and spell.

Durante la mia solita passeggiata prima di andare a dormire nella mia angusta cuccetta, non ho saputo resistere alla magica vista della luna piena - nella calma e solitudine del porto questa sola presenza era ipnotizzante...

Cette photo respire la tranquillité, le charme des soirées en bord de mer. Les couleurs sont douces et les tons mauves apportent beaucoup de romantisme à cette photo. Ce romantisme est accentué par le reflet de la lune mais aussi par les tons du ciel qu'on retrouve dans le bord du quai et dans la mer. Il y a beaucoup d'harmonie dans cette photo. Le temps de pose de 3s rend cette mer glacée et renforce également la douceur qui se dégage de cette photo.
C'est une très belle réalisation Donato.
Ce sont des moments magiques que tu vis là.

davvero un bel notturno questo: la luna, il cielo, i riflessi sull'acqua, ogni dettaglio parla da sè in questa foto. Trovo che l'esposizione sia perfetta (anche il bilanciamento del bianco, infatti non ci sono dominanti fastidiose). bravo davvero!

Una molto bella "blue hour" ed un'ottima vista molto ben equilibrata. Le barce, al primo plano danno una buona profondità all immagien ed un'bello grafico effeto. Anche la silhuetta della montana, nel fondo del'immagine, dà un' effetto graffico. la luna è molto ben locata nella composizione e sorgo molto ben.

Ciao Donato, the 3 second exposure has had a beautiful effect on the water and that amazing sky, it is more like "Purple Hour" than the usual Blue Hour. Amazing depth and management of light here. Great job, Lisa.

Ciao Donato.
Approdato alla tua terza identità (al momento sei "Donato-Ingenua-Mente", ma non mi sento di escludere ulteriori mutazioni), ci proponi un'ottimo notturno, di grande effetto.
Solo le sommità degli alberi delle barche, in moto radiale, rivelano la lunga esposizione.
Non so se la luna avesse qualche dettaglio in piu' nella realtà, ma probabilmente il "velo" delle nuvole l'aveva già un po' offuscata e soprattutto le aveva fatto perdere qualche diaframma di luminosità, il che la fa accordare ottimamente con l'esposizione del resto dell'immagine.
Le ombre sono un po' magenta, ma è bello il verde smeraldo che si rivela sulla parte di superficie d'acqua piu' illuminata.
Un buon lavoro.

non solo un briciolo di incantesimo, ma anche una sana invidia per le emozioni che hai provato per questa luna che si specchia sul mare. Mi sembra di sentire l'aria fresca che odora di mare ed il rumore dell'acqua che accarezza gli scafi. Complimenti per l'ottima realizzazione, sei riuscito anche a fotografare quella stella in alto a destra che tu, da buon marinaio, sicuramente conoscerai il nome.

Avant de lire ta note, je suis allé voir les info de ta photo et je ne crois pas qu'elle est été prise à 17:24 alors que c'est l'heure du coucher du soleil comme ici dans mon dernier post. Merveilleuse photo à l'heure bleue au temps de la pleine lune et bel éclairage. Les couleurs sont vraiment superbes avec de beaux reflets.

Hi, Donato,

What I absolutely like about this image is the color rendering on the boats and the orange life raft in the foreground. These are honest yet brilliant colors, which seem a bit mystical for a moonlit sky. (How can such colors exist with not so much light?)

The rendering of these known colors with high fidelity gives me trust that the wonderful violet and pink in the sky and the equally wonderful blue green of the water are truthful rather than an artifact of the camera or post processing.

I'm also impressed with the sharpness of almost everything in the image given the 3s exposure. I see some motion in the masts on the left, but the water shows surprisingly sharp details in the moonlit reflections.

If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to put a little distance between the large mast and the moon.

All in all, a very nice scene!

The silky blue night is well reproduced!
An interesting factor is the strong artificial lighting combining with the scarce natural light of this time...
Fine details in the boats and an attractive repetition effect!

Ah! Not 'blue hour', but 'purple hour'. Judging by the hint of pink clouds it's not long since the sunset. The presence of the moon does add a touch of magic to any scene, and, as it is still quite low in the sky, you don't end up with acres of empty sky just so you can include the moon. The light coming from the right was a great bonus to illuminate the boats naturally, and also to speed up the shutter enough not to show the motion of the boats in the water. Everything apart from one or two masts is pin-sharp. The reflected moonlight on the water is also a nice touch. A very attractive image.

What an enchanting and atmospheric moonlight photo. You have used the artificial light very skilfully so that the exposure time is still relatively short resulting in a sharp and clear photo. A good composition. What attracts me most in this photo is its beautiful colours and the way it transmits the tranquil evening mood of the marina. The reflection of the moon on the water is a nice detail too. My compliments!

Ostia quanti punti...magari poi, qui stavi tornando dal bagno è :-))
Un cocktail di luci dal vero effetto magnetico, il riflesso della luna è poi una ciliegina notevole.
Certe volte, nei notturni, o in condizioni di luci crepuscolari oppure all'alba, mi succede che la foto con i tempi lunghi riveli particolari che in quel momento non avevo colto...Tante volte queste foto sono davvero speciali, anche superiori alla realtà di quell'attimo.
PS: cercavo quella con dominante magenta della quale mi parlavi in barca, ma dev'essere quella successiva, mo' vedo.

Ciao Donato,
il violetto che caratterizza questa foto e' anche l'elemento un po' innaturale dell'immagine. Personalmente preferisco delle tonalita' piu' naturali, tanto piu' qui che il cielo fa gia' egregiamente la sua parte. Ho postato un WS che spero non ti dispiaccia, tenendo conto che il bilanciamento del bianco in fotografia e' un po' come le opinioni in politica... ognuno ha la sua e se la tiene. Buone cose, Dario.
