Very original shot of gondolas. Well composed - I especially like those other gondolas in the background. Very beautiful image.

There is something that looks a bit unreal in the image... I´m wondering if the shallow DOF is natural – or have you blurred the background afterwards?
Very well done in any case...

Hi Carmela.
I prefer this that your previous one.
Details are really sharp and contrast with the blurring foreground. DOF is perfect.

The blurred bows of the gondolas in the background and the sharp stern of the one in the foreground decorated with raindrops on the varnish form an effective contrast. The reflections are great; well done Carmela!

Very beautiful shot with a stunning quality. Good post processing with bluring the background. It is amazing how "simple" object can be presented in such a beautiful way. :-)

Very accurate focus. The prow (or is it the stern ?) shimmering with water drops is wonderfully sharp; it must really cut through water.

Hie Carmela. It has been a while since coming over to see your gallery. It is just so difficult sometimes to keep track of my favorites. Obviously you know why there is a thing in TE called Favorites. The works of the photographer is just that delightful. Like this gondola for instance. Sharp and imposing and the soft background is almost translucent. This is more of a work of art than a photograph.

A great use of DOF,very nicely cropped,neat,sharp,and strong work you did,I like it,Carmela,and I like the curved shadows in B.ground,too,which have a fine harmony with subject here,nicely composed and very well done.

I have to agree with you, there is certain elegance here.. Excellent DOF and waterdrops makes a really good surface on the gondola.. It is truly a pleasure to look this photo.. =)
