Photographer’s Note

Interestingly, the renown Ponte Vecchio was built this way (last floor was added) because Cosmo The First demanded a secret passage to join his wife Eleanor every night on the other side of the Arno. This passage, called il Coridoio Vasariano, begins at the Palazio Vecchio, goes through the Uffizi, goes over the Ponte Vecchio and ends at the Piti Palace. Being an art lover, Cosmo had the passage decorated with artwork and masterpieces by all countries and time periods.

This is one of the many pictures I took of this beautiful bridge, here at dusk. I realize that I need to rescan it bigger and at a higher resolution.
