Photographer’s Note

The Gondola is a flat-bottned boat which is used to go on shallow water. It is in 11,20 long and weighs 8 quintals, it also is inclined to the right and can do without the keel.
The oar stands on the crude made of walnut root, with a curve to turn right and left and another curve to go backword's and forwords.

Not easy to do something orgianl with a gondola, but you've succeeded here. Good PoV, and a good idea to use as a foeground detail to the architectural backdrop.

Wow, the water looks like liquid metal.
I like your bold composition here. The silhoettes of the gondolas against the colourful wall is great.

Hi Carmela,
...gondolas in Venice, what a difficult theme have you choosed! But you are also really original, and this is a very impacting shot! The reflex on the water, the wall (absolutely tipical of Venice) and the red leafes. I have noted that you have photographed the non-standard side of the gondolas (the tail)
Really super, i like it a lot.
Only one observation: perhaps was possible to correct the perspective in the window ?

Great image and nice to see a different slant on a gondola picture. The colours in the wall are great and you don't often you see black in water.

Knowingly city in which I live name Northern Venice :) I yet not opening your photo have learned these gondolas. Precisely same now float on the river Neva in my city. I liked in your work game of colors, walls, boats, water, reflections... It very much bewitches

Great capture of the Gondolas! An unusal view of them. I like that you've resisted the temptation to show the all, butto keep a very recognizable detail blendig it with their surroundings.

Exclent use of light/shadow.

I'm always trying to catch whole objects on my photo, choosing some weird angles or something .... so this photo is some kind of tutorial for me, you can take a good photo with "spllitted" objects :)

Et oui, c'est de la super photo : contraste du gris et de la couleur ; quoi de mieux pour réussir ce cliché. le cadrage et tout aussi bon et la gondole du premier plan fait plongé mes yeux sur cette fenêtre ouverte.
