Photographer’s Note

Vizzini, during the "Feast of ricotta", the local band cheered local tourists with its music and its brilliant instruments.
It's amazing how in the reflection of a trumpet has been concentrated almost all of the square of Vizzini.

Tanto di cappello al fotografo che stavolta mi pare proprio si sia superato. Bellissima sia dal lato creativo sia come esecuzione, con colori e riflessi psichedelici che mi ricordano il mitico Easy Rider, in special modo la parte in cui Peter Fonda e Dennis Hopper si fanno l'acido durante il carnevale di New Orleans... bravissimo! i can't tell it in words but the taking the local band and the people around only on the reflections of the trumpet gives this composition an incredible sense of motion and abstraction. The scene on the trumpet is very clear and wonderful.

hai messo tutto nella tromba! Ma non stanno un po' stretti? Siamo tanti nel mondo, il numero di abitanti per Km quadrato cresce e tu sei riuscito a trovare l'uovo di Colombo: bastava una bella, lucida, banalissima tromba!

Hi, Giorgio. Don't buy a fisheye, just use the trumpet of the band. It's much cheaper ;o). There are lots of details in your image and you could spend quite a time trying to identify people. I like the shapes that have been transformed by the instrument and the colours that have a coppery aspect thanks to the colour of the trumpet.

This is an interesting shot using the trumpet's bell to show this reflection. The reflection is great creating an interesting effect. The lighting and colors are fine and the shot is sharp with nice clarity.

Good evening, Giorgio! This IS incredible ... fantastic what you find in the reflection, the whole piazza begins to live and you are right in the middle where it all happens. Oh yes ricotta, I sometimes bake it in the oven with a little olive oil, chilli and sea salt over it, so nice together with some green salad once it comes out of the heat, easy and GOOD :))) Yes I am hungry, I am a guest tonight so I just sit there and be treated with wonderful food. Your picture in the trumpet is very attractive - a real eye catcher. So far I have never tried to do something similar but idea is great. Have to do it also, when there is a chance. It has all the element to be a perfect shot with nice color and light management, fine sharpness and DOF. There are all the details of the festival, I really like it. Well done.
