Photographer’s Note

Vizzini, during the "Feast of ricotta", the local musical band cheered tourists with their music through the streets of the center.
Particularly attracted my attention the accordion player, so absorbed and concentrated in his performance.

I really like how you present this accordion player.
Your close-up is very effective to feel his passion for the music, and the communion between him and his instrument...
The blurred background is perfect to bring his concentrate face out, and the light management is well handled.

Oggi ci porti nel mondo della musica, nella madreperla di questa bella rossa fisarmonica. Bellissima l'espressione del suonatore ed il panno che ne copre il collo, rosso anche quello. Bravo Giorgio, questa foto "suona" da sola!

Un close-up brillante, in cui espressione del musicista e colori dettano i toni della manovra.
Oltretutto bilanciatissimo grazie ad una gestione della luce veramente da manuale. Perfetto il rapporto sharp/blur tra primo piano e background, BRAVO! Buona serata, ci si risente al piu` presto. Un abbraccio,

mi chiedevo quando avresti ricominciato a pubblicare immagini contenenti il "fattore umano"... =)
mi piace molto questo ritratto, sia per la profondita' di campo che per l'espressione del suonatore.

Ciao Giorgione,oggi sei stato calmo col colore ma hai spinto molto sui dettagli....mamma mia che nitidezza....potevi collegarci un concorso dal titolo "indovinate quanti sono i peli della barba del fisarmonicista" .Anche la luce e' gestita alla grande.Il volto non risente minimamente della posizione in ombra.Ueh stiamo diventando bravi eh? hai ragione: la concentrazione del suonatore di fisarmonica è fortissima, ma si evince anche tutta la sua padronanza dello strumento. Grandissimi dettagli e bella la sfuocatura dello sfondo che rende la figura come in 3D. Grande ritratto- reportage!!

Hai colto un bel momento di intensa concentrazione.
La scelta del colore ritengo sia stata la più giusta.
Il rosso attira molto su di se l'attenzione dell'osservatore, soprattutto in questo caso, dove stiamo parlando di folklore e il folklore è soprattutto "colore".

as already mentioned this is really an exciting portrait of the musician showing his compassion for the music and the instrument. I like the mood of this image very much but I also have to admit that I think B&W is probably the better solution. But it is great photo work anyway. Congratulation!

un taglio da manuale, regole dei 4/3, e un'espressività catturata con maestria, ottima la regolazione della profondità di campo che concentra sul soggetto scuro. Mi piace molto anche il dettaglio della fisarmonica. La luce verticale non è perfetta sul volto, ti ho postato un WS con toni e contrasti regolati diversamente sul volto, dimmi che ne pensi...aggiungo una versione in B/N (il soggetto si presta, anche se quel rosso è bello...),ho visto poi che c'è anche quella di Clementi, la mia è un po' più estremizzata.

C'è forse un appena percettibile incremento di colore e di contrasto in questo bel ritratto del musicante col suo strumento, ma l'immagine è comunque molto interessante. Condivisibile il taglio ristretto che focalizza l'attenzione sulla concentrazione del soggetto sulla propria esecuzione.

Accattivante, luci dure, il soggetto sembra tramettere la tensione dell'esecuzione.
Presumo che la dominante rossa del viso sia dovuta al riflesso dello strumento.

I don't usually take people's pictures and I'm not sure I know how to do it so well like in this one!
Well, better look a it and try to learn a bit!
Sharpness (great contrast between the sharp fg and the blurred bg), exposure and colors are just perfect!
His looks is so natural and that's quite an interesting and truly beautiful moment!
