Photographer’s Note

Same place as a my previous post, "Colors of nature", with a view that includes the beautiful sky.
This campaign is on the road Ragusa-Caltagirone.
I hope you like it.

Il mio passato di pittore ad olio, non certo di successo ma pur sempre pittore, mi porta ad osservare la fotografia da un punto di vista credo assai differente da quello della maggioranza dei fotografi purosangue. Sara` anche dovuto al fatto che ieri pomeriggio sono stato al museo di Van Gogh qui ad Amsterdam, ma il tuo scatto a me ricorda in qualche modo le sue pennellate e i suoi colori in... chiave digitale.

Wow, those colours... That shot really jumped out at me from all the thumbnails! Superb composition with just the right amount of space given to the sky and those gorgeous clouds. The shot does look a bit dark too me though, especially in the upper right corner where the sky looks almost black. Otherwise a wonderful shot!

don't worry I like this landscape with its great amount of well-saturated colored flowers and the house in the background. The sky seems really astonishing to me making this a powerful composition.

Hi, Giorgio. You've got very nice colours in the foreground and a dramatic sky. Only that would already make a good picture. The lonely tree which you've placed very well in your composition is a bonus. Maybe the sky is a little too dark in the upper right corner, I suppose this is due to the use of a polariser.

hi Giorgio,
the minimalistic composition works well in this particular case, since your intention was obviously to focus on the colours. I do like the strong reds and yellows, but the sky feels too artificial for my taste, especially the dark upper right corner, halos around the tree and what looks like "muddied" details on the clouds near the horizon. I realise this is matter of personal preference, don't pay too much attention to that :)

Hi Giorgio,
The scene is colourful and the sky is really dynamic with the deep blue sky and the huge fluffy clouds. However two things bother me: first the curve of the horizon and how the sky is overpolarized and contrasted making some of the clouds, especially those in the background seem unatural.

Ciao Giorgio, Interesting colours, maybe for me the sky is too inky and clouds to blue. But the flowers here are amazing and catch attention. Splendid contrasts. What are the flowers? Wild or cultivated? I suppose the are not wild because they have very uniform colour. I like the view of the lonely tree. Also the house far far away look nice.I wonder how it would look with more fields, maybe not so far away, and less sky.

Al mio monitor arriva un po' troppo carica, forse 1/3 o 1/2 sottoesposta.
La mia cartina di tornasole è l'albero che ha perso un po' di dettagli.
L'immagine è comunque ottima, tornando all'albero mi piace il fatto che si trovi contro la parte piu' chiara del cielo.

Talk about coincidence..i was listening to the track..the acoustic verison..and there pops an image with the same name from Giorgio my friend..u must be a CP fan too !

The compo suits your title but if you had named it something else..i would say the pp is over the edge..but that a perspective..the title and the compo are in accordance..so its a success !!

l'immagine è molto bella e di grande impatto.
Sono soprattutto i colori molto brillanti a renderla tale, ma credo tu abbia esagerato con lo sharp.
I fiori rossi hanno perso definizione, soprattutto sotto l'albero.

Bella, addirittura violenta per l'impatto di colore. Sembra un quadro dipinto da un artista innamorato della sua tavolozza; un grande artista.Ha ragione Fulvio: Van Gogh. Ma...bugiardone: non era gennaio, vero? Altrimenti a me, quassù in montagna, viene proprio da piangere....

Vai Giorgio!!! Oggi ti voglio baciare!! Grandissima !! l'impatto visivo di questo tripudio di colori così saturi e con un così forte contrasto è veramente esplosivo!!
Un cielo così dinamico che domina su una terra così colorata.
Forsa averla tirata un po' in pp. ha fatto perdere i toni verdi e il cielo in alto a destra un po' innaturale, ma il risultato è comunque straordinario. Complimenti!

Bonjour Giorgio.
Certains trouveront que tu as trop forcé sur les couleurs alors que c'est ainsi que tu as saisi la beauté de ce paysage. Ces couleurs font la beauté de cette photo. Les jaunes, les rouges et les bleus se heurtent pour le plus grand plaisir des yeux.

la composizione mi piace, ma credo che hai esagerato con la saturazione e e con la maschera di contrasto tanto da far perdere definizione ai fiori,l'azzuro intenso ha colorato anche le nuvole,
non ti arrabbiare ma onestamente ti do' il mezzo sorriso per incitarti a far meglio la prossima volta

Ciao caro Giorgio,
la considero una licenza poetica, anzi fotografica, perchè rispetto al tuo standard è un pò qualitativamente sotto tono. Forse hai "pompato" un pò troppo i colori e lo sharp, tanto da creare anche uno strano rumore nel cielo corretto solo parzialmente sulla parte alta. Sicuramente qualcosa non ha fuzionato nel PP, perchè la scena è veramente bella. Considerando poi la corretta esposizione f/13 e un tempo abbastanza corretto (se hai usato un polarizzatore) la foto avrebbe dovuto essere perfetta. Diciamo che non tutte le ciambelle escono col buco? Diciamolo. E' capitato e capita anche a me, se ti può consolare :-)
Comunque niente di grave, sei e resti un fotografo eccellente, dal quale c'è sempre qualcosa da imparare!

Ho postato un paesaggio veneto simile al tuo nella composizione e negli elementi, ma a confronto sembra acqua e sapone.
E' giusto così, ci sono anche 1000 km di latitudine :)
Colori ed incisione ottimi, nulla da invidiare ai landscape americani.

A ben presentato, con ottimo livello di nitidezza. Il corretto utilizzo di PL adiocionou un particolare colore al cielo dando grande importanza alle nuvole. Le righe di campi in fiore paarte fondo delle catture, che tagliare l'immagine in modo diagonale sono bellissime e hanno un certo aspetto la sua cattura. Bravo. Consuelo

credo che questa sia un'altra delle tue immagini da vedere in grande formato =)
tuttavia, anche cosi "strizzata" nelle dimensioni di TE, io trovo la foto molto attraente perche' rappresenta, per me, l'idea del paesaggio primaverile "ideale" sia nei colori saturi che nella composizione.

Le tue foto le guardo tutte, non posso però commentarle tutte altrimenti potrei essere prolisso.
Quì hai un pò forzato i colori però devo dire che la splendida policromia lo richiedeva. In fondo una foto deve emozionare e colpire altrimenti passa può passare inosservata.
Inoltre, la tua macchina te lo permette perché non è rumorosa

Fantastic colors I guess to some extent thanks to a gradual gray for the sky. The clouds look like sheep, but what is even better are the vibrant yellow and red of the fields. Indeed very beautiful with great sharpness and DOF. Well done
