Photographer’s Note

In this time of the year Sicilian countryside offers wonderful color combinations.
In this landscape around Troina (Enna), I was struck by the beautiful contrast between the color of the house and the intense green of the field.
I hope you like it.

Hi Giorgio,
Interesting to see that there are red houses in more countries than in Sweden... This picture is mailny a study of colours, in many different fields! This is also very good, concerning the composition! A photo taht stands out among all thumbprints!

Ciao Giorgio,sinceramente da un fuoriclasse del tuo stampo non mi aspettavo uno scatto un po' tropo pieno di difettucci come questo,in particolar modo c'e' ua terribile linea nera che divide la collina gialla dal cielo,non so a cosa dia dovuta,un po' di alone bianco attorno alle cime degli alberi...anche i colori della casa mi sembrano esageratamente vivaci (ma non conoscendo la realta' potrebbero anche essere giusti..ehehe). Ottimi invece i dettagli e l'inquadratura,accetta le mie oneste critiche come hai accettato le mie lodi in precedenza...ehehe....buona serata,Luciano. (per penitenza ne posti subito un'altra domani..ehehhe)

il premio a certe domeniche in giro sono proprio foto come questa in cui assisti a scene e immagini che ti riportano a certi disegni dell'infanzia con la casetta colorata, il cielo azzurro e l'albero accanto.

the combination of colours is indeed very atractive, and I like a lot how you have composed the photo with the house right where the lines formed by the trees and branches come together. and because of the strong layers and emphasis on horizontal lines, the overall feeling is that of a calm and harmonious moment. nice one, I like this shot a lot.

What wonderful spring colors reminding me how far back we are and we had nothing but grey skies today so this feels like HEAVEN to me, it is like gaining new energy by just looking at this photo. The little house is so cute and I wonder who painted it this way but it must be someone that loves life to the fullest, that enjoys a glass of good red wine. It's very well composed. It's even hard to imagine a bucolic view more scenic than this one, with so beautiful colour contrast, good light, shapes, texture, blue sky and so on.

I honestly think it's good technically, but I find it a bit too sharp or at least with a "strange" sharpness. There is also an another minor detail, that is the slightly brighter area on the sky near the pine trees, which seem to have resulted from the mask used to correct the exposure of the trees.

A me piacciono un sacco le foto che assomigliano ad un quadro (ho dipinto per 25 anni smettendo solo perche` mi rubava troppo tempo & energia e non mi pagava le bollette) e questa lo e`. Paesaggio meravigliosamente vuoto, che ognuno puo` riempire con la sua immaginazione, taglio classico di stile realista e colori brillanti. Basta e avanza! Bravissimo! Buona serata, a presto. Ma che bel quadretto!!!
Il contrasto cromatico tra la casa e tutto il resto d'insieme è molto bello.
La buona gestione della luce, sicuramente contribuisce a questa buona resa.
Bella la diagonale ottenuta dalla collinetta brulla il cui contrasto con il cielo è molto di impatto.

mah... che dirti concordo con quella metà del mondo che ti fa i complimenti per la composizione, la gestionre della luce e del colore, la scelta dell'angolazione e la qualità pittorica del tutto... però concordo con Giorgio, José e Luciano sulle linee un po' troppo nette, che credo dovute alla maschera di contrasto un po' eccessiva... però, come dire, non sarà che è un problema del ridimensionamento o della dimensione dell'immagine originale su cui lavori?
Perché mi pare strano che ti succeda spesso a quando hai la macchina nuova. forse è un problema nel settaggio del programma di gestione dei RAW... lo fa anche il mio e devo ancora capire come evitarlo.
Vabbè, dopo tutta la tiritera la conclusione: è una bella foto, molto bella e gestita benissimo "sul campo", secondo me provando una diversa postproduzione diventerà praticamente perfetta.

qualche problemino con la maschera di contrasto, ma proprio la netta ripartizione delle linee e dei colori è il pezzo forte della foto: sembrano quei quadretti ottenuti incollando tanti pezzetti di cartoncini colorati. Come sempre nelle tue foto viene fuori il grande senso grafico.

A well framed and balanced compo creating a great graphical impact! Excellent light and vivid colors. The slight oversharpening as given some artifacts, especially on the hill crest...but not really a problem ;)
