Photographer’s Note
Adjusted the color and lighting here, and tried to do something with the sky, but I'm not sure it's successful. I also sharpened and added the frame. The cropping hopefully focuses the photo a bit more and highlights the beautiful structures.
A view of the precariously positioned pastel houses at Manarola fishing village (Manaea in the local dialect); it is the second smallest of the five Cinque Terre villages, which are very popular tourist destinations in the summertime. This may be the oldest of the towns. The cornerstone of the local church, San Lorenzo, dates to 1338, but the area may have been inhabited for much longer. Traditional industries such as fishing and wine-making still go on here. The village, as with the others, are only accessible by boat and now by train. There are stations in the larger villages and a foot path along the cliffs that affords some stunning views of the Mediterranean to the smaller ones. The walk from the southernmost town, Riomaggiore, to Manarola takes about 30 minutes by foot, and the trail, which is part of a national park is in very good condition. It gets fairly rough as you travel north, however...

Hello Terez,
It's an impressive view. The town looks like a fortress. The sky is ok and goes well with the nice pastel colours of the houses. Good POV.
Best regards, Paul
