Photographer’s Note
Selling pigeon food in the Piazza San Marco in Venice. Back in 1999 it was only 2000 lire a bag. I’m not sure what it is now in Euros.
The photo was taken on a Pentax Espio 160 camera with 160mm zoom lens and scanned on an HP Scanjet 2400, 1200dpi/48bit scanner. I have cropped a little off one side of the photo and sharpened it.

Hi janice, and welcome on TE.
you hold a very good subject of composition here, and restitution is quite good.

For a scan, I find it is very sharp and the colors are naturals. I have never try a scan, but...nice. And the foto is so living, we understand that the women don't like her job, but life is life, isn't it? Very well done; Bravo. Claude

Hi Janice,
She shouldn't be allowed to sell this stuff! She's CAUSING pigeon poop- and it ends up all over the statues and buildings! What a mess! And I bet she doesn't help clean it off..... What's more, she's attracting the little buggers to an outdoor restaurant! Obviously, nobody wants to eat there... look at the place: it's empty! I mean to say, who would want to contend with the aerial bomardment? ;-)
As for the pic, the image quality has come out very nicely compared with my early scanned images. It's a good 'daily life' pic too.
Hugs,
Tony
