[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Ponte degli Alpini bridge in Bassano del Grappa was designed in 1569 by Palladio, the famous architect who was responsible for designing a lot of trendsetting buildings and structures around the province of Vicenza. The current structure, however, dates back to 1948 when the bridge was rebuilt following heavy damages incurred during World War 2. The timber structure of the bridge allows it to flex when hit by rapid currents of Alpine meltwaters in spring.
