The Bridge of Sighs or in Italian Ponte die Sospiri. It bridges the Rio di Palazzo and serves as a connection between the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace (on the left) and the New Prison (on the right) when it was built in 1600. Designed by Antonio Contino who is the uncle of the designer of the Rialto Bridge.

Un pont très photogénique et bien mis en valeur même si la photo manque un peu de définition.
C'est bien cadré.

I remember being taken for a trip in a gondola by a singing Italian under this bridge, many years ago.
Happy days! T.F.S.

A nice view on this famous bridge, good symetrical photo, interesting effect with depth with the perspective of the canal, good light management.
