Photographer's Note

Taken at Venice Mask Festival.
I spent only two days in Venice during festival and to be honest, even it was so nice, I understood taking photos in festival season with thousands of thousands people is not for me. everybody was pushing others to take the best shot. I was not good at that and I changed my focus from Mask to Venice which is my favorite. At last day, just before leaving Venice I was lucky, this lady was posing and there were only 2 - 3 people shooting. i took the free space and finally I got my festival picture from Venice :)

Hi Feyza,
I agree with you, crowds in big events are often frustrating. But on this one you got a good pose, and quite extra costume. That combination of purple and orange sunset is great!

Living near Venice, I know that at carnival is very difficult to take beautiful shots because of many people around the masks. However, this is a perfect shot! I like the sunset as background and all the details of the mask in the foreground.

Hello Feyza,

This image intrigued me as a thumbnail. The large version is of great quality with all the details of the costume being sharp here. The violet colour and the hat with feathers go very well with the clouds and the setting sun. You got your shot indeed!
