Photographer's Note

The city of Venice has been for more than a millennium capital of the Republic of Venice and in this respect known as "La Serenissima", the Dominant and the "Queen of the Adriatic".
For urban characteristics and its artistic heritage, Venice is universally considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world and ranks, along with its lagoon, one of the UNESCO world heritage.
At least once in life you have to visit it, is unique and magical.

A cleverly composed shot that makes good use of the graphical lines offered by the handrail. There is much to be seen and appreciated and all in great detail. The cloud filled sky contributes much to the mood of the composition.

Less known corner, ewspecially for tourist like myself, Silvio - but well presented and shown.
Old edifice on water's edge, a church on side, much more later in years, mingle in it's unique urban scene.

Hello Silvio - I like the strong composition here, you have used the walkway, which in itself is not very attractive, to create a strong angular aspect to the shot and a dynamic image. The shot suffers a little from what looks to be, on my screen, slight over-sharpening or noise but the composition makes up for the slight 'grittiness'. Have a lovely weekend. Rosemary

This ia such a beautiful photograph - excellent POV, for an angular take on the facades of the two contrasting buildings - the little red piazza in front of the buildings - cut in neat white borders...
The strong closeup of the railings in the forefront, with the waters on the left and the buildings on the right gives a great balance to the picture.
The Blue skies with fluffy white clouds heighten the colours of the buildings and adds to the overall mood of the photograph.
Yes, having been there - I agree that travelers must feel the magic of the place - at least onece in a lifetime.
