San Mamiliano
Medieval castle hill was built in the ninth century to defend the Abbey of San Pietro in Valle Saracen invasions, preserves the gateway, built with boxes and wedges of white stone and still stands perfectly the triple circle of walls)
The center is still compact, with limited tampering, or substitution.
Almost completely restored boasts an interesting heritage as the church of San Biagio the fifteenth century. built on the ruins of the ancient fortress of the country (in fact you can see the louvers on the exterior of a time defensive bastion).
The same bell tower was obtained on the former watchtower. The original church is located about 600 m. the country as a whole of the Convent of St. John of high medieval era, now completely abandoned. All 'inside of the church of San Biagio of great artistic value is the altarpiece painted by Jacopo Siculo depicting the Coronation of the Virgin with Saints (San Mamiliano, Mary Magdalene and Saint John) and a wooden statue of St. John (from by 'former convent). All 'inside the city walls you can admire the Well column surmounted by a carved dated 1005 with the first coat of Ferentillo and the severed head of a Saracen.

bonjour silvio
une belle photo de cette ville médiévale avec un cadrage nous montrant cette arche de sortie, ces belles dalles pavées, un petit cadrage en plongée qui nous permet de voir qu'il va falloir grimper dans la ville haute
une belle réalisation avec toutes ces pierres

your picture is a fine example of a very successful mix of architecture with elements of every day life. I like especially all these small details which make the whole picture so interesting: the pile of wood or pots with plants. Very nicely done colors and contrast.

quwsti borghi non hanno misteri per te che ne scovi angoli sempre più sconosciuti infilandoti nei vicoli e nei posti più remoti.
Anche in questa il colore è al massimo livelo unito ad una nitidezza encomiabile. Il cielo grigio, come al solito, fa da degno cappello. Unico neo: quella macchina parcheggiata (certamente non la tua) che io avrei cancellato con un colpo di Photoshop.

J'aime beaucoup ce plan vertical.J'aime la texture usée de la pierre sur les murs et par dessus tout ce ciel presque noir qui apporte une touche dramatique à l'ensemble.

The old gate on left leading the view towards a balcony with the valley scenery beyond, good DOF through.
Simple alley corner, ancient as you indicated in the note, but with some elements of modern life(TV antena).
