Photographer's Note

Montefranco looks down from its 414 meters of the Nera Valley, between olive groves and forests of pines and oaks. The old village, once surrounded by walls with towers, is now almost completely recovered, showing its beauty in a unique panorama and suggestive. Bufone remain of the old castle of Porta and Porta Franca Spoletina fully recovered and restored. He was born around the year one thousand on the clifftop overlooking the valley of the Nera River in a fortified position that represented a natural defense against the Saracens at that time infested the valley.
