The oak with the greatest circumference between those Italian is located near the castle Montalfina, located on a hill in the countryside of Castel Giorgio as a bulwark to defend the land against the Orvieto Etruria and Latium, owes its name to its location on a "mountain on the border" (Montis ad fines).
The dimensions are spectacular, the circumference of the stem only 1.30 meters is equal to 9.10 meters. Immediately after the mighty oak splits into two branches, the largest of which has a circumference of m. 5.60.
