Madonna delle Forche

It is located along the old county road to Castel San Felice, now little more than a trail.
From the second half of the fifteenth century, perhaps votive building erected as a result of some plague.
Unique sloping facade, small trasanna and arched opening enclosed with wooden grating.
On either side is painted the Annunciation with the eternal Father, by which starts the small figure of the Christ child who flies to the virgin.
The interior has a single nave with a barrel vault, is completely frescoed, in the jambs of the arch input votive dated 1494 attributed to the painter Jacopo Zampolini by Spoleto.

Allô Silvio!
J'aime bien cette photo prise à contre-jour dans un contexte spécial. Le soleil qui frappe les feuilles de l'arbre crée un bel effet et tu as su profiter de cette lumière pour prendre cette magnifique photo. Bonne gestion de l'éclairage et les personnage en silhouettes sont quand même intéressant.

What a beautiful setting for this lovely old shrine! And what an interesting note you have given us too, especially about the 15th Century painter of Spoleto.

Clearly set amidst the mountains, I love the fact that most of this picture is in relative shade apart from the brightly lit canopy of autumnal leaves as the bright sun shine through them.

The colours are beautiful, the light is wonderful and your exposure, despite the difficult conditions, is perfect. Excellent details and clarity too.

People gethered under a shade, silhouette against the small chaple, Silvio.
Yet, most of picture space has good light the enhanced the autumn colors of the trees.
Fine light managed, good clarity collected.

una bella scena ben inquadrata in un quadro alto, la composizione e' definita piu' dal albero che dalla chiesetta. Mi piace tanto l' effettiva presentazione dell' atmosfera e dei colori invernali, il gioco della luce e delle ombre, l' alternazione di colori brillanti e scuri. I contrasti catturati sul albero e lo sfondo affoggiato sono magnifici. Complimenti e grazie!
