Photographer's Note

When I was a boy in this, which is one of the most popular and characteristic streets of Spoleto, one could hear the noise of the city, the mothers who lured the children, the blacksmith's hammer on nearby Monterone, the shouting of children at play, the gossip of housewives sitting outside the door.
Now all is silence, peace, but there is regret, for people like me who has lived, in a lively and animated, remains the regret of the old wineries, snacks of cheese and sausage bathed by the new wine, this is a Spoleto that now lives only in the memories of old men like me.
But it's nice today too my city, it's nice to get lost in its narrow streets, its squares, wander through the medieval houses with walls of burnt flint from the time, which to me still echo the voices of the past, tourists have a dip in a world of peace and silence
