Photographer's Note

Along 236 meters high and about 90, the Ponte delle Torri at Spoleto is a mammoth work of ten arches that acts as a liaison between the St. Elias hill and Monteluco. The crossing consists of a road and a water channel, and pointed arches supported by stone pillars. You reach it through a long scenic walk around the fortress.
For many centuries the highest bridge of the world.
