Photographer's Note

The Dome of the Spoleto's Cathedral in the fog taken from the medieval fortress of the city, the Rocca Albornoziana.

The Duomo (Cathedral) of S. Maria Assunta, begun around 1175 and completed in 1227. The Romanesque edifice contains the tomb of Filippo Lippi, who died in Spoleto in 1469, designed by his son Filippino Lippi. The church also houses a manuscript letter by Saint Francis of Assisi.

Wow, this is fantastic. I really like the way the dome is floating in the fog. The tree branches are excellent and add depth to the scene. Very well done.
You did manage a huge group of TE members for a meeting in the cold. Good on you all for the courage of going out in winter!!!

A great image with a perfect composition. The usage of the branches in the foreground gives a lot of depth to the image and the dome just emerging from the mist brings an unreal atmosphere that I like a lot.

Nice minimalistic image and very well composed. The sharpness of the branches contrasts well with the tower shrouded in fog.

This isn't a photo - it's an artwork. Something like a Japanese ink drawing. A wonderful picture in order to celebrate the New Year. A photo to marvel at...
Concerning the workshop photo - I seldom saw so many lovely people in one photo. With a self-timer and you included the viewer hardly would bear the beauty ... ;-)

Te l'ho già detto che hai il dono per le immagini essenziali, iconografiche (o Zen) e questa ne è un'altro bellissimo esempio. Non mi sarebbe mai venuto in mente di creare un'immagine così suggestiva con solo due rami e la cima di un campanile che emergono dalla nebbia bianca.

E si in effetti riproduce fedelmente l'atmosfera di ieri a spoleto , scherzi a parte una bella composizione presa in un momento il cui la nebbia spadroneggiava , ciao e di nuovo Buon 2009 .

Tu, Vinicio, mi hai sempre stupito per l'originalità delle tue immagini, dove hai dimostrato sempre di non essere stato mai banale.
Qui, con questa immagine, credo tu abbia superato te stesso.
La natura gioca spesso ruoli fantastici. Sta poi a noi saperli cogliere nel modo più propizio.

I rami secchi degli alberi, arricchiscono la composizione, e perchè no... rendono l'immagine ancor più fantasmagorica.

È una fotografia meravigliosa piena di finezza. La cupola appare da nessuna parte, sembra essere in situazione di assenza di gravità nel cielo. La grafica dei rami degli alberi completa perfettamente la composizione.

This picture jumped out on me as I was seeing puctures from Umbria. An absolutely delightful capture in the fog where the barren branches in the FG, creating the frame look like giant claws about to grasp the spire shrouded in the mist. Excellent my friend!

What a nice invitation to dreaming... I can almost feel the milky cold surrounding the cathedral. A superb view, great contrast with the "naked" branches. There it goes to my favorites :)
