Photographer's Note

Spello, a lovely town in the heart of Umbria, ancient Roman town "most splendid colony Julia," of that era are important remains, including the magnificent port of Venus. Equally rich are the monuments of a later period, palaces and churches, among which we note the larger church of Santa Maria Maggiore, with its splendid frescoes by Pinturicchio, stored nell'interna Baglioni Chapel, and Perugino.
But Spello is primarily a city on a human scale, with an historical center still lived streches to love and maintained by its inhabitants.
Worth a visit.
