" Unfortunately, the fears came true dei Priori of the people. The company 's Cappelletto in towards the end of November came in the countryside of Todi , and invaded the castle of Semigni , a ten miles away from the city , from the band of wind. Semigni , as Delie Riformagioni lodges in the book , it was a fortress built in 1322 , surrounded by ditches , and there was a castle with some men of the guard . The Company impadronitasi the fortress, beyond threatening the countryside and the city .. "(from" Archival Italian " )
The Castle of Simigni or Semigni , is located in a dominant position in the town of Gualdo Cattaneo and was founded in 1103 by Seminio , a member of the family of the Counts of Collazzone . It looks very imposing this castle silhouetted against the evening sky. Good capture with pleasing soft lights and warm colours.

Complimenti e grazie!
Tanti saluti e buona serata,

Its a brave composition, for most would not have tried to frame a shot with a giant tree at the center and the building behind it. The softness of colours is strongly apparent. The vertical frame of the facade with the door on the right is in sync with the vertically standing tree.
Beyond the tree and the building is the blue, white and grey sky. Light from behind gives a very bold outline to the building and also to the small hills behind it. The presence of a person on the bottom right - a lone figure - matches the solitary-ness of the photograph.
Thanks for sharing, Silvio.

This time the photo was just an ordinary (albeit motive does not give a lot of features), but your text compensate everything!

A scene so iconic for Italy that it brings back a lot of fond memories.
Impressive structure, well balanced with the tree against a pleasant sky, lovely indeed.
