Photographer's Note
Rocchetta
Castle mound dating back to centuries. XIII, whose name derives from the diminutive rock, built at Mt. 793 s. l. m., overlooking the Valley of the Tessino, with keep and tower, formerly also called Rocca Oddi.
Belongs to the territory of the municipality of Cerreto di Spoleto, which was fought on several occasions from Spoleto and Norcia,
He remained faithful to the city of Spoleto during the revolt of the Nera Valley Castles, resisting, in 1523, armed bands of ice axes and Petrone Brancaleone Vallo.
You can still see the different phases of construction of the town: the early medieval settlement around the parish setting, the next castle, the remains of a fort and the two gates and the sixteenth century village built along the road.
The fabric is very compact construction of the castle in recent times has been largely restored and healed without altering the original structure, while the agricultural village partly replaced by new buildings has lost many of its features.
The country is home to an agrarian community, formed in recent times, after a long legal fight against the City of Cerreto, who contrasted the recognition.
The parish church of St. James of the sixteenth century frescoes and paintings from the eighteenth, a Baroque wooden altar from St. Nicholas and a wooden crucifix from the XV century Madonna del Verde, a small votive building on the way to Monteleone ..
At the ancient road, now annexed to the cemetery, but once isolated, is the church of St. Nicholas, a small Romanesque building, with chancel covered dome and belfry on the front, low-key rustic derived from Santa Maria of Ponte. Frescoes dated 1529, on the right, the representation of Rocchetta.

Hello Silvio,
A delightful shot and, I see, you had an unexpected character in your shot.
Your use of the arches creates an irresistible guide into the shot, where the steps and the two closed doors grab our curiosity. The details are sharp and there are many fine textures to help us understand the location.
Have a lovely w/e,
Bev :-)

Ciao Silvio,

Cioa e buon fine settimana

Silvio
Ta collection de ruelles pittoresques augmente encore d'une unité, le chat noir étant la cerise sur le gâteau dans la composition.
