Ponte
The village of Ponte has origins dating back to Lombard, where there resided a powerful steward, which extended its jurisdiction over the whole territory of the Nera Valley, is located on a hill shaped like a cone, built at Mt. 441 s. l. m, a spiral along a single street, which once reached the fortress, of which few traces remain.
His name is almost certainly linked to the presence nearby of a Roman bridge, which also stands in his arms, as well as that of Cerreto, the current settlement is divided into different groups: the fortress built in the top of the hill, the castle developed its access road, the town built outside the walls, the district developed around the Parish Church Square and the town built along the newer roads that branch off from the country, the first two are pretty devastated, while the rest was largely restored, although it has lost some of its original features.
Going up to the fortress, however, you can also see the different doors and to the former Town Hall, current home of the local agrarian community, with curtain walls and Romanesque portal bearing the coat of arms in the lunette

Dip in fog and mist, this town typicaly built to defend itself, old-time labyrinth styled, dense and narrow streets.
Clearly seems from a high POV, inspite of the weather.
