Poggiodomo is a town of 145 inhabitants of the province of Perugia.
One of the smallest municipalities in Italy (the smallest of Umbria by population), is a thousand meters above sea level surrounded by lush green lands of the Nera Valley, in the upper valley of the river Tissino.
Poggiodomo from the Latin word "podium" podium, platform, and "dome" to cultivate. Located at m.s.l. 974 with a total population of 174 inhabitants is the smallest and highest town in Umbria. Another very attractive shot from this mountainous region. You really have relayed a mood of wintery chill, with the drab tree colours blanketed by the white snowy carpet.
The line of houses makes a welcome relief, snuggling into the hilside.
Despite the poor light, you have captured sharp details for the viewers.

Hello Silvio,
another lovely picture of your country. What a shame there was not more light - but you did your best under the circumstances. The colors are muted but the yellow buildings provide some contrast and liven up the scene.

Ciao Silvio
non conoscevo - neanche di nome - questo comune della tua Umbria, ma poichè tu hai il dono di far diventare bello tutto quello che fotografi anche queste poche case abbarbicate sulla montagna appaiono graziose nelle loro tinte pastello.
Infatti colpisce la macchia di colore completamente immerse nella vegetazione più o meno fitta, tra gli elementi della natura che d'inverno non sono certamente clementi.
Le note sono sempre molto interessanti e ricche di notizie. Peccato, come al solito che tutti frettolosamente votino la foto senza neanche prenderle in considerazioni.
