A very lovely composition with beautiful warm tones. The downwards perspective is excellent whilst the man going into the house is a definite bonus and adds much to the mood. Superb clarity.

This - for me - truly is one of your best! What a wonderful atmosphere of calm and somehow security. You managed the really difficult light in an amazing way. I like this one very very much.
Greetings from cool but sunny Siegen!

good composition and nice natural colours! If it were not for the "contemporary" man carrying a box and for the power wires above, one might think that this shot came from the Middle Ages! Excellent perspective view. I like the street lamp at the top!
best greetings from Moscow,

There must be a little movie house, just return to left after arch then you will see it. Your wonderful post remind me almost 25 years ago...
You captured this beautiful narrow alley under spectacular lights. Stone, terracotta brick textures are increase its value of course with great addition of elder man while he is busy with his door. Congratulations. Have a nice week end.

Fantastic perspective - it reminds me of Croatia and its ancient cities - I wonder if Gert would place this kind of photos after his trip?
Great light, great contrast - I like it!

The lighting is excellent here giving the stones a nice warm glow. The downward perspective is great creating a sense of direction. The man provides a good sense of scale to the shot.

I'e been away a bit lately, so there's a lot to catch up with.
This is one of your best - the different temperatures of the light - at the top and on the left side wall warm; and at the bottom through the archway cool, give an unusual and pleasing effect.
The winding downward leading lane takes us neatly into and through the image, and makes a strong composition. The figure halfway down offers us a contrast between ancient and modern.

The main feature of this picture is I guess the natural light falling very gently from somewhere high above. I like the nice curvature of the old alley and the paving stones polished through the centuries.

Ciao e buona serata
