Photographer's Note

Monti Sibillini extend to the border of Marche and Umbria. Trails here are not as easy as it could seem. Do not go in the mountains outside the summer season or in poor weather, the snow begins to melt until June. There highest peak of Monti Sibillini and also the highest peak of the Apennines - Monte Vettore (2477 m). Mountain range in the heart of Italy covers the territory of the "magic" because of the local wildlife, history and culture.

Monti Sibillini are considered the most beautiful Apennine chain. We've seen them basking in the September sun, intensely green and yellow. Some peaks are rocky, but most ended smoothly, with wooded slopes. Their beauty is specific, very different than the Alps and the Tatra Mountains. While those are dangerous in its beauty, the Sibylline Mountains are impressive little mysterious. This might make the legends associated with them.

When we left at dawn from a broken tent for us to pass with an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level. (There also left the bike) it was very cold, but sunny. Below us stretched the sea of mist covering the plateau Piano Grande. On the trail to the summit of Monte Vettore (2477 m above sea level.) never met anyone - just stunning emptiness and amazing Umbrian blue sky.

This is a scan from negative.
