Sagrantino di Montefalco are Italian wines made with 100% Sagrantino grapes in the Province of Perugia, although not necessarily in the comune of Montefalco. The wines include Montefalco Sagrantino secco, a dry DOCG red wine and Montefalco Sagrantino passito, a sweet DOCG red wine.
For a long time, the Sagrantino grape variety was only used for Montefalco Sagrantino passito or to fortify mixed wines. In recent years, producers such as Arnaldo Caprai have started to use it unblended.
Under Italian law, the term "Montefalco Sagrantino Secco" defines a wine obtained exclusively from Sagrantino grapes, produced exclusively in the Province of Perugia, in the Umbria region of central Italy (although not necessarily in the comune of Montefalco). The word "secco" in the name is Italian for "dry". The wine is aged for 30 months, of which at least 12 months must be in oak barrels. The wine is a DOCG, the highest-ranking category of Italian wine denominations. The Montefalco Sagrantino secco has excellent storage characteristics.

Even the haze cannot cover the beauty of this landscape, in fact the haze improves the mood of the scene. Good pov and dof with nice details. I like the colors. Well done, tfs.

what a shame that the electric lines went into the frame, but I guess you could have done nothing about it. Otherwise lovely photo and artistic almost painting like depth. Very good composition and pretty colors.

A beautiful and well presented picture from the premier wine producing region.The rows of red grapes amidst the scenic surrounding is a satisfying sight. The mild haze couldnot deter the outlines of the distant hills. Very well taken and complimented by the informative note.

A superb high pov with good color and saturation. Nice repetition of the trellised fields and excellent sharpness and well composed using the rule of thirds. Nothing much you could do about the powerlines. The diagonal green field adds good perspective. Tfs!

I wish i could have my own wineyard when i get retired in the future, perhaps in Italy:) I like this sleepy and peaceful atmosphere in this scene. No people are visible but i am sure they are proud of their beautiful place. Good overview from this Pov, good colors also, Tfs!

Fields are filled with many beautiful colors, and the vineyards furrows added a sense of depth on image.
Even with the electric-lines the pic. taken from a fabulous POV.

Beautiful shot and the lovely rich fresh colours of the textured vineyards in a peaceful looking sight. Fantastic interplay of colors, excellent clarity and full of interest and the beauty is further enhanced by the misty bg.
