Vineyards of Sagrantino. From vitigno the Sagrantino, cultivated for a long time immemorabile in hills of Montefalco, two great wines are obtained, the Montefalco dry Sagrantino and the Montefalco Sagrantino raisin wine. The dry one is a wine of great body produced with grapes Sagrantino to 100 %, of red color granato with violacee airframes, of full aroma, sapore dry ground and harmonic and bouque that it remembers the aroma of more of rovo, has obtained the D.O.C. in 1979 and the D.O.C.G. from 1992. It has a minimal alcool of 13° and a great wealth of polifenoli and tannins, demands along period of sharpening, before in wood and then in bottle. It is accompanied perfectly with roast of red meats and game. The raisin wine, traditional wine of Montefalco, is obtained through the collection of grapes in state of advancing maturation, subsequently withered for approximately two months. After this phase the vinificazione process begins. The produced wine therefore has a color tending to granato and a sweetish and hard gust (the alcool is not never inferior to 14,3°). Servants like wine from fine meal or outside meal. From vitigno the Sagrantino the optimal one is gained also, if less valuable, red than Montefalco, also composed exactly from Sagrantino 15%, Sangiovese 65%, Merlot 20%, wine that accompanies with all the peasant plates of the tradition peasant well, from the meats and to cheeses it ages to you and piccanti. Of red color they steal tending to granato, has a dry, harmonic taste, vellutato.

Great autumn colors shot here! The road attracts the eye and leads it through the scene giving the shot a nice sense of direction. The trees in the foreground provide a nice border for the shot. The lighting and colors are fine as is the photo's sharpness.

non sarà Castelluccio ma il paesaggio non è da meno in fatto di bellezza.
Non ci sono le fioriture ma un panorama con colori molto caldi e bei disegni sui campi. Un caro abbraccio.

Ciao Caro Silvio, che bella struttura e colori. Il DOF e superbe. Questa regione d'Italia e molto famoso in mondo per il vino eccellente. Mentre guardo alla tua foto, sto immaginando un bello Sagrantino secco con un pranzo di bisteccha, deliciozo! Abbiamo qui alcune negotzi chi vendanno produtti d'Italia.
