Photographer’s Note
This is a view of an Ordinary day in the life of this ORDINARY man in the Extraordinary location of Assisi, Italy. I was there years ago and took this photo with my Pentax Spotmatic camera. I was just learning about photography and then, as now, i found the camera to be a wonderful tool in my experiencing the world. As a photo tourist I was, even then, prone to enjoy the MAJOR SIGHTS for awhile but then try to escape to the less popular places in that locality to see REAL EVERYDAY LIFE. It was in one such escape that I came upon this scene of the man coming out of his house toward his mule. The very Famous hill village of Assisi is in the background. The Title I gave this photo , "Do Few Things But Do Them Well" is taken from the film "Brother Sun, Sister Moon" by Franco Zeferelli. It is a film about St. Francis of Assisi and his simple life of Poverty.

I love this composition Raymond. The man, his donkey, and lovely Assisi in the background. A beautiful shot from one of the beautiful regions of Italy. I really enjoying seeing a slice of life from way back in 1974, five years before I was born :-) Scanning aged photos or negatives can sometimes produce a colorcast. (I've scanned many of my dads old slides) It appears that this photo is suffering from old age just a bit. I did a workshop to try and eliminate the magenta colorcast. Hope you don't mind.
Great post,
Regards,
Ryan
