Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken outside the church of Santa Chiara, in Assisi, central Italy.
You can see the typical architecture of the italian medieval period, often seen in many other churches in Florence, Orvieto, Pistoia, Pisa, etc.
Santa Chiara was San Francesco's cousin, and, althought her family was very rich, she wanted to follow her cousin to help poors.
Assisi is one of the most beautiful town in central Italy. A very typical medieval town.

Hola,
magnifique picture with a really fine composition. The mother with his child in a third of the picture and the buildings and the arch as a frame in the frame of the picture.

Hi Stefano,
this is gorgeous. Great geometrical composition mixing the arch and the stricter lines of the pavement and background, soft grey and pink tones, the daddy w/daughter is the cherry on the cake, it enhances the peaceful mood and that touch of red is brilliant.

Conosco molto bene il posto che hai fotografato e credo di averlo sempre considerato solo in relazione alla basilica della Santa. In questa tua composizione invece, la splendida architettura "incornicia" una scena di vita quotidiana gioiosa che è il vero soggetto della foto.

I remember these wonderful sea-shell colours of pink and grey from my own visit to Assisi - you have caught them well.
The bright red of the clothes spices up the picture and gives a good focal point, as well as scale and human interest.

Nelle tue foto c'è un elemento caratterizzante, del quale penso tu ne sia consapevole, cioè l'analisi visiva del rapporto tra il *genere umano* e ciò che lo circonda.
Una sorta di griglia di misurazione dell'antropizzazione, con parametri grafici e simbolici, orientata alla definizioane di un modello di mondo esteticamente corretto.
Il metodo sperimentale applicato alle arti visive.
Dietro all'istinto, ci sono molte cose...

Although perhaps he lacks a little of definition ... it is a very interesting framing with the touch of attention of the man with the child.

solo ora noto questa bellissima immagine sui toni del rosa, che gioca sulle diverse textures dei muri e sulla forma dell'arco, inserendo un soggetto curioso e ... rosso. E null'altro di umano.

A close up view to the old city, concentrating more to the architectural details rather than to an usual city view. A nice, intimate detail of a woman carrying a child, bring some colors in the scene.
I think that a bit of sharpening could be useful here.
