Photographer's Note

The Basilica of San Francesco in Assisi, a masterpiece of Gothic Umbria, is one of the most photographed monuments in my region, I tried to offer it to original shots. The lower church from 1230 stores and houses the mortal remains of the saint seraphic. Ordered by Pope Gregory IX which specialis ecclesia, was honored by the Pope himself the title of Caput et Mater Order of Minors and simultaneously assigned in perpetuity to the friars.
In the complex history that has marked the evolution of the Order, the church (and the adjacent Sacred Convent) was always guarded by the so-called "brothers of the community," the group that went up as a result of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual.
Since 1796 has the dignity of the Papal Basilica. In 2000, together with other Franciscan sites in the district, the basilica has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

well done for shooting this place from very low POV - it creates totally different perspective and makes the composition much more interesting. Great light and color management. Ideal sharpness.

stasera vai con il popolare.
Chi non conosce la basilica di San Francesco, ma la tua originalità ha voluto riprenderla da un POV inconsueto e il risultato è ottimo, come d'altronde non poteva essere diversamente conoscendo la tua tecnica e il tuo gusto ottimo nella composizione.
Come al solito nitidezza spinta all'eccesso, grande luminosità e colori splendidi rendono ancor più gradevole il soggetto.
Sulle note poi il solito elogio.

bellissima l' architettura ed il modo dinamico in cui l' hai presentata. C' e' un intrigante dialogo di linee, forme e prospettive che costituisce una composizione affascinante. Mi piace tantissimo il drama creato dalla luce, l' ottima definizione delle tessiture ed i colori freddi. La scoperta di persone in vari punti di questa composizione imponente e' divertente.
